Whisper's on the Bayou

Exiled to a rotting Louisiana parish, fallen priest Marcus Hale receives a video of a child crawling backward across a ceiling, chanting in Fon: "Papa Legba opened the crossroads. The price is blood."  The Petro loa of the bayou don't wield candles anymore-they wield drones, deepfakes, and VR headsets. As Marcus uncovers a blood-contract from 1835, he learns the spirits aren't demons but lawyers : his ancestor betrayed a Houngan, and Marcus is the final collateral due.
To save a possessed child, he must burn his faith, confess his darkest sin, and sacrifice his identity-only to discover the loa haven't been defeated by progress. They've upgraded . And the priest who came to hide from his sins becomes the digital doorway through which Met Kalfu, Master of the Crossroads, walks into the modern world, turning every screen into a crossroads and every soul into a line in an eternal ledger.
