Résumé

A family curse, an evil plot, an unlucky coincidence. Three destinies entwined. No-one could accuse Sofia of being a hopeless romantic. Her heart is burdened by old secrets and too many broken promises. She sits alone at the sister's wedding, unable to set aside her fear that the bridegroom is a dangerous man. A chance encounter with a stranger inspires Sofia to speak without reservation. Perhaps she has told Pastor John too much?Valentino is everything the pastor is not.
The wealthy businessman offers Sofia all she desires. So why does she question his motives? Valentino laughs at her prophecy that their relationship is doomed. When an unknown enemy threatens Sofia, both John and Valentino are targeted. Why is an international criminal organisation pursuing her? The familiar streets of Melbourne are no longer safe. As the trouble intensifies, Sofia discovers a deeper secret that could destroy them all...
Greetings from Tasmania, Australia. I've never lived outside my home state, but in my imagination, I am a world traveller. I've been married for 40+ years to a patient man who has given me the freedom to pursue this dream of being an author. I have two adult sons, who live independently. At the time of writing, two of the River Wild Series have been published, and another two are in different stages or pre-publication.
I have also written a fantasy novella that I hope to publish soon. Publishing a novel was a childhood ambition, one that I set aside a long time ago. Since then, I have added wife and mother, student, childcare educator, visual artist and chaplain to my list of achievements. To help me appreciate the brighter moments, God has guided me through dark days in the wilderness, where my faith has been tested. I have learned a lot about myself and my ambitions while writing these books.
The confidence I have gained as a storyteller has enriched my character. I believe it has made me a humbler disciple of Jesus Christ, a more determined encourager, a better friend. When I first lost myself to the rediscovered joy of writing, my horizons expanded. My fictional world became populated with characters who whispered their stories to me. They have grown more insistent as the words have appeared on the pages. This was how A River Wild series was born.
