Résumé
Eighteen-year-old Lara Harper has been counting down the days until college. One last trip with her childhood friends is all that stands between her and the fresh start she's been desperate for ever since Patrick-the boy who disappeared from their group seven years ago-left behind nothing but questions, suspicion, and guilt. When a wrong turn strands them in the quiet coastal town of Echo Cove, the detour feels like a blessing.
The beaches are empty, the locals keep to themselves, and the only warning they receive comes from a waitress who tells them one simple rule:Whatever you do, stay inside after midnight. Will they listen?Of course not. So the first night passes without incident. The second brings silence. The third is when everything gets weird. And the impossible feeling that someone they've lost is waiting just beyond the darkness.
As the roads flood and escape becomes impossible, old secrets begin clawing their way to the surface. To survive, Lara and her friends will have to confront the truth about the night Patrick disappeared-before the past lures them into the water with the voices they most want to hear. Because in Echo Cove, grief has a way of calling you home.
