Nationale Armeen und partikulare Militärbündnisse verschärfen die globalen Probleme. Eine zivile Weltinnenpolitik erfordert gemeinsame internationale Polizeistrukturen in den Weltregionen und bei der UNO. Seit einigen Jahren wird auch in Wissenschaft, Kirchen und Gesellschaft die Forderung nach einer Internationalen Polizei anstelle nationaler Armeen laut. Um hierzu der Politik konkrete Vorschläge machen zu können, hat sich bei der Initiative »Sicherheit-neu-denken« die Fachgruppe Internationale Polizei gebildet.
In mehreren Klausuren und einer Akademietagung wurden die Erfahrungen von Polizeikräften in internationalen Missionen, aber auch von Friedensfachkräften und Friedenswissenschaft vorgetragen und reflektiert. Dieser Band soll diesen Austausch dokumentieren und enthält das daraus entstandene Papier »Zielperspektive Internationale Polizei und Realisierungsaspekte« . In view of international military operations with consequences that are often extremely counterproductive, there has recently been a call from science, churches and society for an international police force to replace the deployment of national armies.
The International Police Section has been formed in the Security Rethink initiative to make concrete recommendations to governments. In several retreats and an academy conference, the experiences of police forces in international missions as well as peace experts and peace studies were presented and studied. This volume is intended to document the exchange and contains a stimulating interim status with the resulting paper "Zielperspektive Internationale Polizei und Realisierungsaspekte" (Goal Perspective International Police and Implementation Aspects).
