Résumé
The urban-literary short story "Welcome Back, McKayla", one of the earliest stories written by author TAYLOR DYE, is now available for the first time. On her way to the big game, the city-and its people-speak to McKayla. She may be a celebrity athlete and hometown hero, but to those who know her best, she's even more than that. She's a friend. She's family. It could be surprising that someone of her status is just as comfortable in the dark alleys and rundown neighborhoods as she is amidst the bright lights and glamour of downtown.
Follow along as she moves from one world to the other. Both sides-the light and the dark, the glitz and the dilapidated-seem to know her, to understand her, and every time she returns, both welcome her home. Welcome back, McKayla.
