This was one of the early introductions to English literature read in high school and no doubt impacted Kay as a young lady. Even so, the struggles are still real today. Despite a seemingly privileged life of growing up in the West, the struggle is palpable and remains a work in progress.

Biographie de Kay Heavens

K. Heavens was born in Manchester, England. She spent her formative years in Lagos Nigeria. She is a Registered Nurse with a passion for writing. From an early age, she always enjoyed writing and telling stories. Her passion for story telling was further nurtured by her grandmother who would spend hours in the evenings telling folk stories to Kay and her siblings with song and choruses. Her father worried whether a career path in writing could be a sustainable source of livelihood.
This never prevented Kay from writing. Her father will give her positive feedback on her writing. Whenever something came to mind, she would be sure to scribble it down. Kay currently works as a Registered nurse.
