Résumé

The bombing raids of the mini-Blitz, deadly doodlebugs and V2 rockets are still an ever-present danger to Londoners. The crew of Station Seventy-Five must battle on through to the end. When Frankie's fiancé returns unexpectedly from serving overseas, it's a joyful reunion and at last they can marry. Her happiness is short lived, however, when her new husband is sent abroad once more. At home, her step-grandmother, Ivy, is mixed up with black-market dealings, and draws Frankie into trouble with the law.
Winnie's husband, Mac, parachutes into enemy territory on D-Day, and worrying about him makes it hard for her to focus. When she discovers she's expecting a baby, her role as an ambulance driver is under threat. Can she keep her pregnancy a secret and carry on doing the job she loves?Bella's brother is missing from his POW camp in Italy, and she has no idea what has happened to him. When she meets dashing Polish pilot, Stefan, will she allow herself to fall in love again? As the war draws to a close and the crew celebrate VE Day, Station Seventy-Five's days are numbered.
Whatever the future might hold for the East End Angels, their strong bond and friendship will last a lifetime.
