Veritas Paranormal Investigations is Britain's most methodical, most argumentative, and arguably least emotionally stable paranormal research team. Dr Evelyn Sinclair runs operations with a clipboard, a forensic mind, and very little patience. Chloe Nishimura feels the weight of a room before she's through the door. Ben Carter has a custom-stitched ghost hunting coat with sensors in the lapels, and he would like everyone to take it seriously.
Together, they go where other teams won't. Or can't. Or didn't come back from.... V-01 - ABERNATHY HOUSE, SOUTHWICK Phenomenon: Electromagnetic interference. Visual anomalies. Three previous teams abandoned the investigation. The house has been unlettable for years. The locals call it the House of Glitches. Something in there is still transmitting.... V-02 - ST ANDREW'S CHURCH, WINTERBORNE TOMSON Phenomenon: Class I Poltergeist.
Physical assault. Biological matter on the altar. A commercial ghost hunting weekend ended with a Council employee hospitalised and police tape across the nave. Veritas are called in to determine what actually happened - and whether anyone is liable.... V-03 - WYNTHORPE HALL, ALNWICK Phenomenon: Targeted aggression. Gender specific. Highly reproducible. The Earl has vacated the property. The Master Suite is locked on client instruction.
Whatever is inside has a very specific idea of who it wants to hurt - and Evelyn and Chloe just walked through the front door.... V-04 - HARGREAVES FARM, WREXHAM Phenomenon: Violent telekinesis. Territorial hostility. Sudden onset. The land has been occupied since the 1400s. The family have lived there for three generations without incident. Two weeks ago, something changed. The brother nearly lost an eye....
V-05 - THE OLD ATLAS TEXTILE WORKS, TOWER HAMLETS Phenomenon: Auditory. Kinetic. Unmapped structure. The demolition crew quit. The sub-basement room wasn't on any blueprint. The steel door was locked from the outside. The scratches were on the inside.... V-06 - BLACKWOOD MANOR, LEEDS Phenomenon: Object displacement compulsion. Violent kinetic retaliation. Psycho-emotive assault. An unglazed pot from an 1800s Grand Tour is making residents move it toward the exits.
When they put it back, it retaliates. The family are living in a single room to avoid it. Evelyn calls it a locus-bound poltergeist. Ben calls it a Hermit. They are both taking it very seriously.... V-07 - 42 CLIFTON TERRACE, BRIGHTON Phenomenon: Minor object displacement. Nocturnal disturbances. Taps turning on. After six cases involving assault, contaminated altars, and a room that shouldn't exist, Veritas takes on an Airbnb with a draughty loft and some rattled guests.
