Résumé

In a small Maine fishing village, some currents run deeper than they appear... Tammy Harper's Daily Catch Café is filled with the scent of cinnamon rolls and holiday cheer as Harborview prepares for its annual winter market. But the festive mood turns dark when bank manager Christine Morgan is found dead in her office after hours. The medical examiner says insulin overdose. The town assumes it's a tragic accident.
But Tammy knows that a woman who managed her diabetes with meticulous precision for twenty years wouldn't suddenly make a fatal mistake. Restaurant owner Gary Atwood just lost his family's three-generation business after Christine denied his loan. Christine's brother Peter Morgan has been fighting her over their parents' estate since their mother died. Bank teller Lauren Whitfield was about to be fired after Christine caught her in an affair with a married customer.
And Christine's ex-partner Vanessa Cole lost everything-her home, her relationship, her future-in a bitter breakup six months ago. When Tammy discovers a blackmail letter threatening to expose Christine's secrets-and then receives a chilling warning of her own-she realizes this was no accident. It was murder, carefully planned by someone who knew Christine's routines, her medication, and exactly how to make her death look like a mistake. Armed with strong coffee, her talent for reading people, and the steady support of her fiancé Sawyer Grant, Tammy unravels a web of affairs, betrayals, and a hypocrisy that cuts deeper than anyone imagined.
But in a close-knit community where everyone knows everyone's business, the killer might be hiding behind the last face anyone would suspect.
