Résumé

Unburdened is a guided workbook for healing from narcissistic abuse and parentification. If you grew up managing others' emotions, earning love through performance, or doubting your own reality, this book offers a grounded path back to yourself. Through structured exercises, compassionate explanations, and trauma-informed guidance, Unburdened helps you identify conditioned beliefs, release false roles, rebuild healthy boundaries, and reclaim your sense of self. Whether you are just beginning your healing journey or seeking to deepen the work you have already started, this workbook offers practical tools to help you reconnect with your authentic self and move toward lasting emotional freedom.
Sally Sarpong is a writer, mother, advocate for healing, and lifelong student of resilience. Through her writing, she explores trauma, recovery, self-discovery, and the courage required to build a life beyond survival. Drawing from both lived experience and years of dedicated study, Sally writes with honesty, compassion, and a deep understanding of the healing process. She holds diplomas in Coaching and Translation, as well as academic training in Economic Law and Finance.
Her work is further informed by extensive study in trauma recovery, somatic practices, and personal development. As a survivor of narcissistic abuse, parentification, and other forms of complex trauma, Sally has walked a long and deeply personal path of healing and transformation. This journey has profoundly shaped her approach, inspiring her to create resources that are safe, gentle, practical, and empowering. She is the author of Blossom of an Oak Tree, Roots of Light, and Me and Ed?.
Through her books, she seeks to offer compassionate guidance and practical tools to those navigating their own healing journeys, helping them reconnect with their authentic selves and discover that life can become more than survival. When she is not writing, Sally enjoys weightlifting, running, mountain hiking, and spending time with her family. She has climbed Kilimanjaro, Breithorn, Pilatus, and Rigi, and is always seeking new adventures, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Her greatest passion is helping others discover that healing is possible, hope can return, and a meaningful, fulfilling life can be rebuilt.
