With everything happening in Kaleb's life and the problems Alex keep running into, Kaleb struggles harder and harder to balance it all. Warning! This book ends on a hard cliffhanger! If you're bothered by that, don't continue this series until you have book #4, Saving Starfish, as #3, Marked by Shadow, will take a very necessary detour from the main storyline.
It's imperative to take that detour due to the massive worldbuilding and the development of the main storyline, which we return to in #4.
