A marriage in trouble. A meddling daughter. A reminder that love is worth it. Jess and Bernie have been together for years, but there's one sticking point in their relationship. Jess continues to forgive Lance, her ex. He's the biological father of their daughter Ocean and he's the lead singer from Jess's band. Bernie resents the way Lance interrupts their relationship, often leaving Jess feeling belittled before he leaves again.
