From the moment Xavior met Detective Mark Franklin, he knew this man was his mate. However, he makes a big mistake when he questions Mark's ability, because he is an Inert, a man not gifted with any powers. Mark is tired of Animators and Celestials looking down on him and so many like him. He is a Detective with the Maine PD and has the highest arrest record of any cop on the force, even those gifted.
When he is asked to go to Canada and see if he can help their MYSTIC agency locate the missing Europe agents, he is hesitant. First, Xavior is a man that sparks a huge interest with Mark, but the man is like all the others.
