Lisa struggles against her parents' preference for the older rancher. She thinks he is fat and ugly, and can't imagine herself being kissed by or married to the man. She wants to marry Glenn See. He's closer to her age and that makes sense to her. Besides, she wants to have a baby, and Ma says Mr. Jackson probably doesn't want more children. But Lisa doesn't want Mr. Jackson's baby.
