In 1993, he drove by car across Russia to the distant city of Vladivostok. Later - over a decade in Africa - he had to come to terms with the shocking truth: the often-dubious role of humanitarian aid. Combining thrilling adventures with deep reflection, this book offers an unfiltered look at life on the endless roads and questions the practices of certain aid organizations and German authorities. Every experience is true - only names have been changed.
