This trip was originally planned for 2019, but as many people experienced, the onset of Covid interrupted our plans. We decided to combine this with attending the Frida Kahlo Exhibit in Chicago. Frida Kahlo was/is my favorite artist and I finally had the opportunity to see some of her original works. So, the exhibit tickets and this trip were pushed to 2021. This is my story of our adventures and challenges that we encountered from the beginning to the end of this trip.
To set the stage, we are not a couple that plans hotel stays and we in no way travel by a clock. We research places we would like to visit, but we rarely make hotel reservations. The best trips happen by flying by the seat of your pants; that's the motto we live by.
