Transplants

On a distant planet covered in jungle, a team of scientists investigates local flora and fauna for a mega-corporation planning to monetise their findings. Protecting them are a pack of murderers, washouts, and lunatics; the interstellar community's run-off, and the cheapest labour available. Exploring new worlds is expensive, after all. You've gotta cut costs somewhere. The murderer: Tony, an imprisoned cartel scion offered a chance to reduce his sentence.
The washout: Thunder-Wolf-King, a disgraced ex-soldier hoping to earn enough to buy himself a house. The lunatic: Carol, a bubbly schizophrenic with a dark secret and the strength to punch through walls. And there's someone else. Someone Tony, Thunder, and Carol don't know about. Someone the scientists don't know about. Someone even the corporation doesn't know about. Someone old and alien and angry.
