Résumé

Andrew Lace was assigned male at birth, but never felt male.  This resulted in conflict with her family, her church and others around her.  Overcoming that and a desire to not continue, she plodded forward as herself, but afraid to make the final step forward. Kevin Rariak was a 30-something father and husband, until his wife decided she wanted a divorce, leaving him with a house, the two boys, and an uncertain future.
Meeting Andrew, was confusing for Kevin, but he hated bigotry and he didn't like what he saw happening to Andrew.  Standing in defense of her, a friendship emerged, and each helped the other transition through their pain.
