Traces Among the Glitter of Jakarta

This novel tells the story of me, Lina, a 25-year-old woman who works in the marketing division of a multinational company in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Jakarta. For an entire year, I faced the dilemma of pursuing a career and maintaining a personal life-romance, friendship, and social dynamics. In the midst of the fast-paced life of the metropolis, I was trying to find a balance, even as the past tried to re-permeate.
In each chapter, I tell the story of inner journeys, slang conversations, and real moments that describe the life of an office worker as well as a true love seeker. Together with three supporting characters-Rika, an inspirational senior in the office, Dimas, a humorous co-worker, and Sari, a childhood best friend-I try to knit the future even though the shadows of career and romance dilemmas always come to me.
