Résumé

Xuanzang and his disciples were blocked by the mighty Tongtian River, the abode of the monstrous King of Inspiration, who was eating a boy and a girl as a yearly sacrifice. The monkey and Pigsy transformed into Chen family children and defeated the monster. Terrified of the monk's three protectors, the monster used a river-frozen trick to capture Xuanzang. The monkey had to ask Guanyin for help. Guanyin trapped the monster with a bamboo basket and forced him to revert to his true form of a goldfish.
Xuanzang was rescued. A big turtle ferried the pilgrims across the river to repay them for helping him retake his residence from the monster.
