Résumé
In the realm of ancient Greek myth, Tithonus, a mortal man, was granted eternal life by the goddess Eos. However, she neglected to ask for eternal youth, and as centuries turned into millennia, Tithonus withered into a decrepit old man, trapped in an endless cycle of suffering.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson's haunting poem, "Tithonus, " delves into the depths of this tragic tale, exploring the themes of mortality, the passage of time, and the bittersweet nature of immortality.
Through Tithonus's poignant lamentations, Tennyson paints a vivid tapestry of a soul yearning for release from the relentless march of time.
