May 1963, Chad Allison sits in history class writing an essay on Genghis Khan. Suddenly he is transported to a vast tundra. He is sitting on a small pony, dressed in khaki pants, penny loafers, and a golf shirt. Genghis himself is staring at him as he sits astride his great horse. Her father has brought the family to America to get away from the village in Italy that branded her as a evil girl with strange powers. This is their story as they travel together and apart from the past and the present.
