Résumé
Three Cuban women living in Miami travel together to Turkey, unaware that this journey will mark a before and after in their lives. Entrepreneurs, independent, and seemingly strong, they quietly carry marriages worn down by infidelity, control, and emotional absence. They have learned how to endure, but not how to feel chosen. Istanbul welcomes them with its living chaos, terraces overlooking the Bosphorus, the steam of Turkish baths, the sweetness of baklava, and a city that neither sleeps nor judges.
Far from home, through honest conversations, revealing silences, and unexpected moments, they begin to recognize themselves from a new place: their own worth. Turkey does not offer them solutions, but it does offer a mirror. In that reflection, they discover they were not fragile, but invisible to those who claimed to love them. An intimate story about female friendship, migrant identity, and the emotional awakening that happens when a woman stops betraying herself to sustain relationships that no longer hold her.
Sometimes, stepping away is the only way to return to yourself.
