Liam grinned. "I paint. Not that I'm good yet, but it's a work in progress. Maybe I could show you sometime? I could use a fresh perspective. I could even take you on a little photo shoot-what do you think?" Sophie felt butterflies erupt in her stomach, but before she could respond, Jake strolled over, flashing his trademark smile. "Hey, new guy! What's up? Are you, like, trying to steal my girl?" He laughed, but Sophie could sense the tension. Liam raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth twitching as if he found the situation amusing.
"Just talking about art and photography, man. No stealing involved-yet." Sophie felt torn between the two boys.
