Résumé
Theosis is the purpose of human existence and it is the meaning of human life. The reason why creation and created creatures, especially humans, exist, is so that they become one/d or re-united with the source of their BEing, with their Eternal Ground, with their Creator. The Orthodox Christian way of living, the angelic way, is the way of theosis or deification-of the divine spark in or as the soul being one/d with its origin again, of the image reflected in the mirror, through which we now only see darkly, seen as the Infinite of which it is a reflection.
The way of theosis is the way of the individual, of my will, of my existence becoming always less as the Will of the Father becomes increasingly more clear to me and my own will; as the nature of my existence becomes that of the life of the Trinity, the beatific vision, the Kingdom of Heaven (its attitudes, norms and values) is realized in the present moment in my actual existence, here and now.
