When a house like Moonlight has been in the same family for hundreds of years, strong emotions seep into its heart and are felt by all those who care enough to want to preserve what's important. Jess was only a child when she went there for a family holiday. On her first night, she saw a lady in the garden but, when she asked who she was, no one knew. Years later, she was given the chance to work there, to research its history.  As well as all the usual things she expected to find, she came across a mystery.
What had happened to her ancestor, the ill-fated Alice Beckford and, more importantly, why had it happened? With the full support of her millionaire employer, she followed where the leads took her, and the results brought her family closer together in ways she never could have predicted.
