Résumé
This study uses a Peshar Midrash to explore the question 'Does God Reveal His Future Plans to His People and if so how?' It carefully examines the differences between the prophecies of Scripture and the type of prophetic gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14. The notion of global revival in which the Church will triumphantly emerge to rule the nations is refuted on the grounds that it is unbiblical and damaging because it creates unrealistic expectations that when frustrated can lead people to abandon the faith altogether.
Helpful definition lists, summaries and study questions for individual and group reflection are included.
