This is the first story of The Voyages of the Starship Vigilante. This is a short-story of 20 pages with the subtitled: "In Search of a More Civilised World". It tells the story of the first voyage of the story of Captain Vigil and how, during 2020-2021, he was serving in the military when he was commanded that he must take the new covid-19 mRNA vaccine, or otherwise, he would lose his job, his position, his promotion, all his perks etc.
