Résumé

The poet arrives at a small village exhausted from many months of flat-searching, but if he'd expire here at this brook, who'll come to help? His mind is engaged in painting a portrait from his past Muse from memory. At a nearby social market, he finds nourishment for reasonable prices. He works in the confines of a kitchenette within a small bedsitter unit. Walking regularly along the Weidling brook, he discovers its surroundings.
Meeting a 'golden girl', he writes poetry at his desk. During the rainy month of August, he meets Elena, a local specialty cook with a great personality. While dedicated to the freedom in his creative work, he discovers a split in his personality, as ZZ, the poet, and ZG, the artist. During this period as a multilevel artist, he has continual verbal fights with his spouse of 46 years. ZZ's virtual love with his Muse keeps him going.
ZZ's daily strolls along the brook with its murmuring like Ravel's music, bring out dreams of beaches on an intimate island in the heart of the Med.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Z J Galos

Born in Eastern Austria, close to the Hungarian border, he witnessed as a young man the horrors of a nation's suppression, erupting in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He finished his education in art and architecture in Vienna, married and sailed for the Cape of Africa, an adventure that followed his childhood dreams. He had drawn African animals for his art classes, but the time had come to see them in their natural habitat.
Meeting a varied facet of people and cultures, working as a draughtsman in an engineering office, as an architect for a cultural centre, as a coordinator of craftsmen and professionals, he made good use of his language skills traveling throughout Southern Africa. During a visit to Lesotho, he was exposed to impressive rock-paintings, which influenced his art. During a visit to Greece, he was accepted into a circle of artists and poets, who encouraged him to continue his art and a friend introduced him to the works of famous Greek poets.
He settled in 2013 in Klosterneuburg-Weidling, where he lives and works.
