Résumé

A corporation is about to execute a man. Commander Kit Farrow has been sent to watch. As an officer of the Interplanetary Legal Authority, Kit's assignment should be simple: board the corporate transport Cressida, witness the execution of convicted geologist Dayo Adewale, certify that every legal requirement has been met, and return home. Do not investigate. Do not interfere. Do not ask the wrong questions.
But nothing about Dayo Adewale fits the file. The record says he was negligent. Volatile. Responsible for the deaths of three crewmates after a catastrophic explosion during a routine asteroid survey near 2187-Vega. The man Kit meets in the brig is controlled, precise, and disturbingly prepared. He knows the law better than most officers who enforce it. He insists the investigation moved too fast.
And he claims the missing survey report would prove the accident was no accident at all. Then Kit finds the first anomaly. A nine-minute gap in the sensor logs. A remote administrator code where no remote access should have been. A vanished geological report. A corporate legal team that always seems one step ahead. And a discovery buried inside the Vega survey that Axiom Corp is willing to kill to keep classified.
With the ship racing toward the Meridian Threshold, the jurisdictional line where corporate law becomes absolute, Kit has only days to uncover what really happened aboard the doomed survey vessel. Once the Cressida crosses that line, Dayo's execution can proceed, the record can be sealed, and the truth can disappear into deep space forever. But the truth is bigger than a wrongful conviction. Bigger than corporate murder.
Bigger than one man's life. Something was found near Vega. Something ancient. Something not made by human hands. And humanity's first contact may already have been turned into evidence in a capital case. Trapped aboard a ship controlled by the company she is investigating, watched by a polished security chief who knows exactly how to bury a scandal, Kit must decide how far she is willing to go when the law itself has been engineered to protect the lie.
Because the corporation does not need to win forever. It only needs to keep the truth quiet until the execution is complete. The Vega Testimony is a tense, intelligent science fiction thriller about corporate power, corrupted justice, first contact, and one woman's fight to put the truth on the record before it is erased.
