Sheriff Jonah Graham used to know things. He knew pumpkins don't grow in the dead of winter, until he found one that did. He knew half-dead ravens with broken necks don't talk, until he met one that did. He knew mousy librarians don't keep fingernails ripped from children they've murdered in a locket around their neck, until he met one that did.  Now he doesn't know anything, except that his town is broken.
