Lorelei, known as The Flying Fatale, had been performing at the circus for years. Her grace, agility and fearlessness had captivated audiencesacross the land. She gave a small bow, acknowledging their adoration before beginning her routine. For a heart-stopping moment, she seemed to hang suspended in the air. But as Lorelei neared the ground, something went terribly wrong. She lost control, her body twisting awkwardly as she plummeted toward the hard earth below.
