Résumé

In 1147, young Scottish knight William Sinclair journeys to the Holy Land certain that he is serving God. Armed with a sword, a sacred oath, and the unquestioned convictions of Christendom, he joins the Second Crusade prepared to fight-and die-for his faith. Then one terrible moment destroys everything he believes. When William accidentally kills a Muslim child while trying to save her, he abandons the battlefield and enters the village of Nein carrying unbearable grief.
Instead of vengeance, the child's parents offer him compassion. Among the people he once called infidels, William discovers teachers, healers, craftsmen, families-and a devotion to God that challenges every certainty he brought with him. As he learns their language and traditions, William falls in love with Aisha, a brilliant Muslim teacher who shares his dream of a different world. Together they establish a school where Christians, Muslims, and Jews can study side by side.
But their growing movement threatens Crusaders, religious authorities, and rulers whose power depends upon division. From the battlefields of the Holy Land to the ancient abbey of Iona and the royal courts of Scotland, William's choice sends ripples across nations and generations. The Templar Who Chose Love is an epic historical novel of conscience, forbidden love, spiritual awakening, and one man's courageous discovery that truth belongs to no single faith-and that love is more powerful than any sword.
