The Sword of Arcterra

Synopsis - The desire to escape and forge his own life gives Eli the determination to complete his mother's quest, leading him to dedicate himself to the world's needs and ultimately to find love. There is a story within a story that this author still attempts to understand.  A great tragedy halted my creativity, leaving me bereft of the daily joy my craft provides.  As time passed, supposedly able to heal all wounds, my frustration grew.  The pain of loss took away my freedom and stopped the flow of words. I am, by nature or nurture, a Discovery Writer.  A seat-of-the-pants pen-pusher.  One of the crazy ones who eschews outlines for the adventure of racing to the next page to find out what happens. One day, a staff member at R&K Café gently questioned me about the book on the table, and I told him I was an author.  His joyful smile sparked my heart, and I asked his name.  It is Eli.  I signed the book to him and asked if I could use his name in my next fantasy adventure. That encounter with a caring neighbor reaching out opened my heart, and I broke with custom and wrote the synopsis above.  I let go of the wait and started a tale from just a name.  Eli The Sword of Arcterra is an adventure filled with wonderful meaning that the author is still trying to understand.  I know one thing.  Write.  Let your pen flow across the page and write.  Let the tale take you on an adventure, and you may even open up the caverns of your soul.
