The Summoning

It is time. An Earth's pie-chart is about to turn from good to predominantly evil. The angels, already on Earth, must choose their hosts. Others are summoned from around the Universe. And on Earth, those who at their deaths swore to return to destroy evil are also awakened and summoned. Meanwhile, on Earth, its great heroes, old and new, prepare for Armageddon. Earth Awake Before Defeat, are the ancient words on the legendary Gharl, long sought by both sides, and now found.
Those summoned are the good and wise of the Earth, from this time and all past ages, who with their final breath promised to return. Catherine Barrowford struggles after her grandmother's death. She is the owner of an old estate, and legend says she cannot sell it because of the family curse, an evil ghost. She has seen it as a child, and part of her believes the story told by her ancestors. Her life changes with unexpected good luck, she thinks is due to the Barrowford Demon.
His intention is to save Barrowford house and the old wood adjoining it, by murdering those who threaten it, did he also find a way of helping her, or is it something else?Arilda is the family saint, and the ancient well she supposedly guards, suddenly reappears. It is time, and Catherine is asked to carry Anahita, an angel who keeps Arilda's spirit within her. Coincidences multiply, and she meets Rosana Ashar, a Mesopotamian scholar and her family, who are destined to go to their ancestor's country and seek for the saved dead there.
The list of heroes earmarked to return to Earth grows, as the world seeks out the warriors, and the wise and good, who at their last breath swore to return to fight evil at The Reckoning and save the world from destruction.
