The story picks up right where book 2 left off, immediately following Caleb's physical exam with his neighbor, and nurse next door, Mrs. Doyle. The two of them have formed an amazing relationship of trust, honesty, and a few other secrets that no one knows about, as detailed in books 1 & 2. Several unfortunate events happen that really get to Caleb, and he decides to head out for the night to meet up with some friends.
His girlfriend, Sarah, isn't around, and he has plenty of steam, among other things, to blow off. He totally falls for Bailey Gianni, a hot, young, college athlete, who often comes home on the weekends. Bailey falls hard for Caleb, and she's just as into him, as he's into her.
