Résumé

These are the stories of my life. These are the skeletons in my closet. I have just turned 90 years old, so it's time to put them all together in one place. I have added a small note at the beginning of each story to let you know where it came from and whether it's based on a real experience, which many are, or real history in my family. My great great grandfather, William Revill, was convicted of larceny at Derby, England in April 1830 and sentenced to 14 years deportation.
After spending a short time on the Thames Hulks he was transported to Van Diemen's Land in July 1830 aboard the Southworth. He did his time in Tasmania and then moved to Victoria where he met my great great grandmother, another interesting character, and began the Australian dynasty of Revills. William was present, as a soldier, at the Eureka Stockade. He eventually settled in Colac, Victoria and lived to a great age.
I am currently writing his fascinating story. But, while you wait for that, I hope you enjoy the other skeletons in my closet.
