Résumé

England, 1553. In a world where disease is common, and knowledge is dangerous, sixteen-year-old Sally Weaver possesses a gift she dares not reveal. Since childhood, Sally has understood illness in ways no one can explain. She can recognise sickness before symptoms appear, recall every herb she has ever encountered, and heal with a skill that seems nothing short of miraculous. But in Tudor England, a woman with such knowledge is not celebrated.
She is feared. As whispers of witchcraft begin to spread through her Suffolk village, Sally learns that every life she saves places her own in greater peril. Forced to conceal her abilities, she must navigate a world ruled by superstition, suspicion, and men who believe healing belongs only in their hands. When a deadly fever sweeps across the countryside, Sally faces an impossible choice: remain silent and watch people die, or risk everything to save them.
For in an age where gifted women are hunted, knowledge itself can become a death sentence. The Silent Physician is an evocative tale of courage, compassion, and one young woman's determination to heal in a world that fears her extraordinary gift.
I started writing poetry and short stories at the age of 9, a nice way to switch off I guess. Then it just escalated from there. My English teacher at my secondary school Mrs Love was an inspiration to me. In 1985 I moved to Tripoli in Libya, and as the schools did not have any books I started writing for the children of the local British schools. It's amazing that when there are no books you crave anything to read.
So we all got together and made something out of nothing. I have continued writing for newspapers, The Times in Kuwait in 89 just before the first Gulf conflict, then, Libya, Sweden, Uk and lots of other countries. And the story could go on and on... I now live in Portugal and I have had many books published in the past and have joined publishers Opera Omnia and they published the first bilingual book back in November 2012.
Many of my books are now in several languages.
