Résumé

By night, she is the Black Mask-a phantom thief who steals what history forgot, haunted by the thrill she can't escape. When the Crown Jewel of Sicily is announced as the centerpiece of her museum's new exhibition, Jenny swears it will be her final heist. But fate has other plans-starting with Harriet Hermes Borgia, her enigmatic new boss whose name and charm both feel dangerously familiar. Drawn into the glittering world of the Borgia family-modern-day gods of Sicilian society-Jenny uncovers a secret chamber, a rival thief wearing an orange mask, and a connection that burns brighter than the jewel she came to steal.
As past and present collide, Jenny must choose between her obsession and the one man who can match her every secret. Because sometimes, to be forged anew. You have to steal fire itself.
Nikki Larousse, who was reared in northeastern Malaysia, has always been enthralled with mythology from all around the world. She would always return to the escapism she found in writing things down, even if she had to focus on reality and pursue her higher education and work-life balance on the side. The majority of her creations are rooted in notorious Western myths, legends, and folklore. She does, however, also incorporate Malay folklore from her cultural background into her stories.
So, if you dare to dream of cunning heroes and fierce heroines who battle together to achieve their happily ever-afters, enter her realms of Larouverse.
