This book is the honest synthesis of what is happening right now in solo software-building, what one person can actually ship, what the costs are, what the new skill bottleneck has become, and where this is going over the next five years. It is the description of a phase transition the participants are too close to see - written from outside any single builder's vantage point, with the patterns that only emerge when the entire corpus of build-in-public threads, indie-hacker forums, agent-protocol specs, and labor-economics literature is read at once. The recursive loop the title names is the key. Each cohort of builders ships tools that lower the floor for the next cohort, who ship the tools after that.
The population of capable builders is now a function of what the population has already built.
