Résumé

The Buenos Aires winter rain embraced her like a farewell. Alma realized she had nothing left in this city, in her country. Clinging to the soaked cardboard box, she refused to shed tears over the devastation his own father inflicted on her. The box contained the little she had rescued from her desk: some belongings and a plane ticket to Barcelona. That was all she had left. In that moment of utter desolation, a taxi pulled up beside her.
The young man with the harmonious face and warm gaze, whom she had secretly watched every time she went to the publishing house, invited her to share the ride. Overwhelmed by despair and a desire for revenge against a life that had taken everything from her, Alma accepted. Perhaps now she could take something for herself, she thought: "The memory of a moment untouched by the feeling of loss that consumed her".
Meanwhile, Baltazar felt that fate had given him the opportunity to meet her, after so long watching her pass by the gym where he worked. Excited, he imagined the beginning of a relationship with her; he had always felt a special connection to that young woman with sad eyes. That winter afternoon, their paths intertwined irrevocably. Their hidden desires, dreams and bodies; but while Alma believes it is an escape from her pain in what she considers a fleeting encounter before leaving everything behind, Baltazar imagines a future with her.
They are both wrong. Years later, Alma, transformed into a strong and determined woman, and Baltazar, a successful doctor, met again. This time, the decisions of the past struck them with consequences that threatened to destroy them, forcing them to rewrite their love story, where tears mingled with the waves and pain transformed into the force that united them.
