In the near future, the Earth has become a very different place. An unknown disaster has upended our way of life: cars sit rusting where they stopped, cities have been reduced to no man's lands, and invertebrates have mutated into giant, deadly beasts. Faced with the threat of these roaming monsters, humanity's hopes lie with the Sauroktones, small bands of warriors who risk their lives to fight these creatures.

French author Erwann Surcouf is a multitalented creator whose works never cease to surprise and amaze. His 2016 graphic novel "Pouvoirpoint" (Vide Cocagne) is a retro-futuristic saga recounting the tale of a graphic design intern taken aboard a spaceship. He then followed this up in 2017 with "Mars Horizon" (Delcourt), which imagines the first manned mission to Mars. His most recent work is the ambitious graphic novel "The Sauroktones" (Dargaud/Europe Comics), a post-apocalyptic coming of age story against a backdrop of terrible monsters taking over the earth.
