Résumé

Rev and Dylan are intelligent, sensitive, idealistic, enthusiastic, and-utter failures. When they reconnect some twenty years after teacher's college, Rev is en route to the Montreal fireworks festival. (Something with great social and political import.) (Oh shut up. I tried. For two frickin' decades. So to hell with it.) Dylan goes along for the ride. (Typical.)Seriously funny. Also starring Rev and Dylan - The Blasphemy Tour, License to Do That, and The ReGender App*"With a wicked sense of humor .
an inherently engaging, fully entertaining, and impressively thought-provoking read." Paul Vogel, Midwest Book Review"I am impressed by the range from stoned silliness to philosophical perspicuity, and I love your comic rhythm." L. S."Just thought I'd let you know I'm on the Fish 'n Chips scene and laughing my ass off." Ellie Burmeister"It's fun and light, yet heavy and philosophical. I like the bantering between Rev and Dylan." Brenda P."These two need stable jobs.  Oh wait, no.  Then we wouldn't get any more road trips.  Fantastic book which expands the mind in a laid back sort of way.  Highly recommended.   5/5 stars."  lindainalabama
Jass Richards has, surprisingly enough (or not), a Master's degree in Philosophy and for a (very) brief time was a stand-up comic (now she's more of a sprawled-on-the-couch comic).  Despite these attributes, she has received four Ontario Arts Council grants.  This Will Not Look Good on My Resume was shortlisted for the Rubery Award (and reportedly made one reader snort root beer out her nose), and both TurboJetslams: Proof #29 of the Non-Existence of God (arguably the perfect cottage-warming gift) and License to Do That are on Goodreads' list of Fiction Books That Opened Your Eyes To A Social Or Political Issue.  Excerpts from her 12 books have been included in anthologies and on websites, and "Supply Teacher from Hell", a one-woman comedy, was performed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Her worst-ever stand-up moment occurred in Atlanta at a for-blacks-only club (apparently).
Her best-ever stand-up moment occurred in Toronto when she made the black guy fall off his stool because he was laughing so hard at her Donovan Bailey joke (the guy set a world record for running the 100M in 9.84 seconds, yeah?  Big wup.  My dog can do better than that.  'Course, she's black too).  She also writes issue-driven speculative fiction (pegtittle.com) and literary prose and poetry (chriswind.net) and, altogether, has managed to find publishers (in Canada, the U.
S., the UK, and Australia) for over 30 books.
