Résumé

"Here is a Quilters Club mystery for me - a cozy puzzler that introduces the Young Quiltmakers, an amateur detective coterie comprised of Maddy Madison's grandchildren and their almost-grown-up friends. I'm excited!     -Marcy Birdweather      Marcy's Musings Readers familiar with the Quilters Club Mysteries will enjoy this continuation of the characters, particularly Maddy Madison's grandchildren and their friends - Aggie, N'yen, Sissy, and Tommy.
Forming a new detective group (The Young Quiltmakers Club), the foursome set out to determine why ditzy old Birdie Longstreet shot the local mailman, what an angel had to do with the man's death, and how a Russian assassin figured into the puzzle. Return to Caruthers Corners, Indiana, that small town on the banks of the Wabash where patchwork quilts, watermelon pies, and friendly folks are the norm .
until it's not! Marjory Sorrell Rockwell says needlecraft arts - quilting, crocheting, knitting - are pastimes every woman can appreciate. And she particularly loves quiltmaking. "It's like painting with cloth, " she says. But when not quilting she writes mysteries about a Midwestern sleuth not unlike herself, a middle-aged lady with an unpredictable family and loyal friends. And she's a big fan of watermelon pie.
