When Sgt Major Garrett Finnigan was contacted by the director of the CIA for a special assignment, he assumed it was business as usual. Protecting national security. Given a dossier of a man the director claimed had murdered an operator in cold blood, Garrett's job was to take the suspect into custody or 'neutralize' him. Nothing he hadn't done before. Twenty-seven-year-old Aaron Zefron had been in and out of foster care since he was five.
Finally arrested for an outstanding warrant for car theft, Aaron was approached by a government agent to skip prison and become a 'messenger' for their agency. After taking the offer, Aaron had no idea he was being set up for a fall, accused of murder. When Garrett and Aaron meet, Garrett's suspicions that this assignment was a mistake surfaces.
