Résumé

Charlotte O'Hara-Moore is back to solve another mystery. Charlotte O'Hara-Moore has both hands full. The barista-turned-tree farmer is now responsible for school drop-offs. That's right, three-year-old twins Nicky and Nora are going to preschool! Char's husband David convinced her to enroll the twins in the prestigious (and expensive) Hansel and Gretel Day School. The school is so reputable and competitive that the couple applied to send the twins there a year in advance.
Now Char has misgivings about her decision. On the first day of school, Char discovers she is likely to be an outcast. The other parents have an established pecking order, and they look so chic in their designer spandex while Char is so... Char. The mother of twins considers herself lucky if her clothes only have small stains on them. Things seem to be on the upswing when Char discovers a friend at the day school.
A former classmate and fellow thespian returned to 'the Grove' and he teaches at the school. The problem is that Mega Mom, a self-appointed Head Mother of the school, is gunning for the new teacher. When someone is murdered, and fingers point at Char's friend, she cannot help but do a little investigating. Meanwhile, Char's good friend Brian Gold is having his own dilemma. The Spruce Grove City Hiring Committee did not appoint the Golden Boy to the post of chief of police.
There's a new (interim) chief in town. Now, Brian must interview for the top post, and his competition is steep. Brian Gold doesn't do well in interviews, and he fears he won't land the job. If he doesn't get the job, Brian might leave Spruce Grove. Spruce Grove without Brian Gold is like a peanut butter sandwich without the jelly, so Char vows to teach Brian how to act so he will make a great impression during his interview.
Can a Christmas Tree farmer solve a murder and save Brian Gold's job? Find out in The Preschool Pariah.
