Résumé
In today's digital age, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. While it offers numerous benefits and conveniences, it also poses significant threats to modern marriages. The widespread use of smartphones, in particular, has led to a phenomenon known as "phone addiction, " which can have devastating effects on relationships. The Impact of Technology on Modern MarriagesThe statistics are alarming.
Studies have shown that excessive phone use can lead to increased conflict, decreased intimacy, and even infidelity in marriages. The constant distraction of social media, email, and text messages can erode the quality time couples spend together, leading to feelings of isolation and disconnection. The Purpose of the BookThis book, "The Phone Factor: Saving Your Marriage from the Dangers of Technology, " aims to explore the effects of phone addiction on marriages and provide guidance on how to overcome these challenges.
Through a combination of biblical insights, real-life examples, and practical advice, we will examine the ways in which technology can undermine marital relationships and offer strategies for reclaiming and strengthening your marriage. Biblical SupportThe Bible emphasizes the importance of relationships and commitment in marriage. In Genesis 2:24, we read, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." This verse highlights the sacred bond between husband and wife, which is rooted in mutual love, respect, and commitment. In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus reinforces this idea, saying, "He answered, 'Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh"? So they are no longer two but one flesh.
What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.'" The biblical principles form the basis of my investigation into how technology affects marriage and my search for solutions that uphold God's blueprint for relationships.
