The Penguin Who Hated Ice

Percy is no ordinary penguin-he hates ice! While the rest of his colony slides, skates, and plays, Percy dreams of palm trees, sunshine, and warm sand. One day, after a spectacular tumble into a snowball pile, Percy decides he's had enough. He builds a wobbly boat out of fish barrels and sails away in search of a warmer world. After meeting dolphins, a grumpy crab, and a wise old albatross, Percy finally finds his dream: a tropical island with golden sand and coconuts.
But paradise isn't what it seems-the sand burns his feet, the parrots tease him, and he even misses the slippery ice he once despised. Realizing that home isn't about perfection but about the friends who love him, Percy sails back to Antarctica. There, he learns to balance his dislike of ice with the joy of belonging-and even joins the occasional snowball fight.
