But the southern kings are divided. Some wish to see to the safety of their own borders, while others seek to profit from civilization's impending destruction. In his desperation Marius seeks the aid of Obadai the Seer - a man he long ago banished into Giron's unforgiving western wastelands. Griff and Dartain the Prophet lead a motley group toward Athol Myr on their mission to bring Tiberius back from the dead.
But it is an impossible task to penetrate the massive siege lines and if they are to succeed, one person must make the ultimate sacrifice.
