Gwen very admirably adjusts to the year 1819, however when everyone addresses her as a mystic, she becomes persona non grata with the lord of the manor, Nigel, the Marquess of Sheffield.
He threatens her with eviction, and a laugh-out loud moment occurs when the adorable dog comes to her rescue. Ms. Knight weaves another excellent time-travel Regency with a diverse cast of characters including the irascible sea god Neptune.
